This cotton apron features the classic Pieni Unikko pattern. One front pocket, one adjustable shoulder strap and waist bands that can be tied together at the back.

Unikko (poppy), symbolizing creativity, was born in a time when almost no floral design was included in the Marimekko collections. The designer Maija Isola, on the other hand, was fascinated by the flower theme and decided to create a whole range of products with the Unikko theme.

It started with a dress. In the 1950s, Marimekko’s trail-blazing founder Armi Ratia created the brand’s very first pieces; a vividly printed range of liberating dresses that reflected her confident spirit.
